Concrete Admixture Technologies
Concrete admixtures are an essential component of concrete mixtures, used together with cement, sand, and aggregates to control and enhance the performance of concrete.
Concrete admixtures help manage unexpected situations that may arise during production and application processes. Their primary purpose is to reduce concrete costs and improve concrete quality during the stages of mixing, transportation, placement, and curing.
Today, admixtures play a vital role in the production of high-quality concrete and mortar across all segments of the industry. They make a critical contribution to controlling key performance criteria such as strength, workability, setting time, and durability.

The CONXTRA AIR series products are air-entraining concrete admixtures for concrete. They are used to produce easily workable and durable concrete and to protect concrete against freeze–thaw effects.
It increases resistance to the effects of de-icing salts and enhances the durability of concrete. It allows a reduction in water content without any loss of workability, reduces the risk of segregation, and improves cohesion. It has no positive or negative effect on the setting time of concrete. It does not contain chlorides or any other components that may cause corrosion of reinforcement, making it suitable for use in reinforced concrete structures.
The CONXTRA AF series products are antifreeze concrete admixtures that prevent concrete from freezing and enable the placement of high-quality concrete in conditions where concreting would otherwise need to be postponed due to cold weather and frost risk.
It accelerates the hydration reaction of cement in cold weather, thereby shortening the setting time of concrete. It enables the concrete to quickly reach the minimum compressive strength (4–6 N/mm²) required to prevent freezing. It does not contain chlorides or any other components that may cause corrosion of reinforcement, making it suitable for use in reinforced concrete structures.
The CONXTRA RETARD series products are concrete and mortar admixtures that provide a retarding effect by slowing down the hydration of concrete.
It provides a controlled extension of the concrete setting time and has no adverse effect on ultimate strength. It reduces stress and shrinkage, improves workability, and minimizes the effects of high temperatures. It reduces segregation and bleeding in concrete and facilitates easy pumping. It prevents rapid loss of viscosity and, depending on the type of cement used, ensures long-lasting viscosity retention. It also helps prevent shrinkage cracks that may occur due to high hydration temperatures. It does not contain chlorides or any other components that may cause corrosion of reinforcement, making it suitable for use in reinforced concrete structures.
The CONXTRA CURE series products are single-component curing compounds based on acrylic copolymer or paraffin, applied to cement-based surfaces. They are applied to freshly placed concrete to prevent rapid water loss.
It is ready to use and can be easily applied. It prevents shrinkage by reducing the rate of water loss from fresh concrete. It does not contain chlorides or organic solvents. It minimizes cracking and reduces dust formation on the surface. Thanks to the thin film it forms on the surface, it retains water within the concrete, allowing proper curing and enabling the concrete to reach maximum performance without affecting its normal setting process. It should be used under all weather conditions, especially where evaporation rates are high. It prevents shrinkage cracks and surface dusting. Acrylic-based types do not hinder the adhesion of cement-based or gypsum plasters that may be applied on top.
The CONXTRA OIL series products are mineral oil-based formwork release agents that enable easy separation of formwork from concrete and help create smooth concrete surfaces.
It ensures easy and quick separation of the formwork from the concrete. It facilitates easy cleaning of the formwork and provides smooth and clean concrete surfaces. It does not leave stains on the formwork and helps extend the service life of the formwork. It prevents stains on the form surface and protects steel formwork against corrosion. It does not contain solvents.
The CONXTRA PROOF series products are waterproofing admixtures specially developed for concrete.
It is suitable for use with all types of cement. It improves the workability of concrete and facilitates easier placement and compaction. It helps achieve denser concrete and smoother surfaces. It enhances water impermeability. It does not contain chlorides or any other components that may cause corrosion of reinforcement, making it suitable for use in reinforced concrete structures.
The CONXTRA PUMP series products are chemical admixtures that enable easy and uninterrupted pumping of concrete.
It ensures the production of continuous and homogeneous concrete. It enables concrete to be pumped over long distances both horizontally and vertically. It helps prevent wear of concrete pumps and pipelines. It has no negative effect on the properties of fresh or hardened concrete. It does not contain chlorides.
The CONXTRA UW series products are concrete admixtures designed for use in underwater concrete placement.
When used in concrete, it improves the viscosity of the mix, prevents the cement and other fine components from being washed out, and ensures the production of non-segregating and non-dispersing concrete in water. It prevents water from penetrating into the concrete mass. It does not significantly change the workability time of concrete in the short term (approximately 45–60 minutes); for longer durations, a trial test should be conducted.
It does not alter the normal setting time of concrete. The chemicals it contains do not harm reinforcement. It can be used in both fresh water and saltwater environments.
It ensures strong bonding between the cement and aggregate components in the concrete and provides a mix that can be pumped easily without segregation or dispersion.
It does not contain chlorides or any other components that may cause corrosion of reinforcement, making it suitable for use in reinforced concrete structures.
The CONXTRA ZERO series products are compaction-enhancing concrete admixtures designed for semi-dry, zero-slump concrete.
It provides improved surface quality and ensures the homogeneous distribution of cement, mineral additives, and pigments. It reduces friction between the concrete and the formwork, increases mold filling speed, and shortens compaction time. It also reduces adhesion between the concrete surface and compaction equipment. It improves freeze–thaw stability, increases both early and ultimate compressive and tensile strength, and enhances concrete stability and service life. Additionally, it enables more economical concrete production.
It does not contain chlorides or any other components that may cause corrosion of reinforcement, making it suitable for use in reinforced concrete structures.

The CONFLOW HP series products are polycarboxylate-based, high-range water-reducing / new-generation superplasticizer concrete admixtures used to significantly reduce the water–cement ratio of concrete while improving its workability and mechanical properties. The Summer (S) type products provide set-retarding (slump retention) properties in hot weather conditions. The Winter (W) type products enable concrete placement under cold weather conditions.
It increases the early and ultimate compressive and tensile strength as well as the impermeability of the produced concrete. With its strong water-reducing effect, it enables the production of concrete with a low water–cement ratio and allows the production of concrete resistant to corrosive effects. It helps produce concrete with a low water–cement ratio and a reduced risk of segregation and bleeding. It minimizes formwork removal time and increases abrasion resistance by reducing segregation and bleeding. It shortens the waiting time for applying resin-based floor coating systems on newly cast concrete. It improves the concrete’s resistance to freeze–thaw cycles. As the concrete flows easily into the formwork, it reduces vibration labor and energy consumption. It can be easily placed in heavily reinforced sections and enables the production of void-free and smooth concrete surfaces. It also allows the production of early high-strength concrete even at low temperatures and is compatible with all types of cement.
The CONFLOW SP series products are naphthalene sulfonate / lignosulfonate-based, high-range water-reducing / plasticizing concrete admixtures used to reduce the water–cement ratio of concrete while improving its workability and mechanical properties. The Summer (S) type products provide set-retarding (slump retention) properties in hot weather conditions. The Winter (W) type products enable concrete placement under cold weather conditions.

Compared to concrete without admixtures, it increases the ultimate strength of the concrete. It improves the workability of the concrete and reduces the risk of segregation. It extends the placement and finishing time. In formwork applications, it allows the achievement of smooth surface finishes without segregation. It also facilitates obtaining a screeded surface finish.
